Monday: Read first two pages of "The Piece of String". Write a summary regarding the basic situation/exposition and complication of the story.
Tuesday: Read the rest of the story. Wrtie a summary describing the climax and resolution of the story. HW - Worksheet regarding Irony
Wednesday: Answer questions 1-10 on page 34. Vocabulary: incredulously, protestation, indignation, rogue. HONORS - Worksheet regarding Adverbs
Thursday: Story review
Friday: Worksheet and Vocabulary review(Writers's Choice books text books will be handed out)

11th grade -
Monday: Read First two pages of "from Plymouth Plantation" Write and outline or a summary chronicling the events.
Tuesday: Read the following two pages and repeat the exercise from Monday. Wednesday: Finish the story. Answer questions 1-4 and 8.
Thursday: Review. Homework - Create questions and answers on an index card (5-8)
Friday: Review - Class Scholar's Bowl
