Each grade (7th, 10th, 11th, and 12th): INDEPENDENT READING
Will choose a book from the TRA library (of the student’s preference) that is at least 250 pages in length.
At the end of the nine weeks each student (with the exception of seventh grade) will give an oral report combined with a Power Point presentation. They will also be responsible for turning in a typed version of their presentation.
Seventh graders will give an oral report with an imaginative poster for visual aid depicting the book they chose, or a Power point presentation.
Each grade (7th, 10th, 11th, and 12th): NOTEBOOKS
It is the second nine weeks of the 2007-2008 school year, and some students still do not have a viable and organized 3 ring binder for my class. The notebook should be equipped with a surplus of college ruled notebook paper, and separated by 4-5 dividers. I will not accept spiral bound notebooks. All homework should be neat, organized (not ripped or crumpled), and kept within the notebook at all times.
Notebook checks will be given every four weeks for a test grade. It is a student’s responsibility to keep up with their homework assignments.
Each grade (7th, 10th, 11th, and 12th): MISSED TESTS
If a student misses a test and it has been preannounced, they must take it the day they return to school. ( as stated on page 27 of the student handbook)
If a student has missed multiple days leading up to a test, they must take the test no later than three days after the absence.
It is the student’s responsibility to make up a test they have missed.
