Wednesday: Test (including spelling and definitons) will be on Wednesday.

Attention Parents:
** Due to a misunderstanding, students had a choice of whether to take the test on Wednesday or take the test on Thursday. Please ask you child if he or she has brought a test home to be signed. It is for a daily grade of 100. They will receive a daily grade of zero for every day it is not turned in.

_____________________________________________________________________
10th Grade:
Attention parents: Students were given a test last week. Students who did not do well on the test were required to take it home to be signed. They are also required to get signed, the worksheet (part of last week's homework) that was the basis for the test. They will be given two daily grades for each signed paper, which are due back on 4/8. Each day the papers are not returned, the student will receive two zeros.

Classwork:
Outline pages 864-867
Read pages 868-872
On page 874, answer (write questions and answer in complete sentences) all "Identifying Meaning" questions for EACH story.
Complete all worksheets (7 in total - some front and back)

The assignments above were given out on Monday. The due date for the above assignments IN THEIR ENTIRETY is Friday. The students have had ample time, considering the whole week was given to accomplish the above task for a test grade. In order to receive a 100 test grade, EVERYTHING must be finished. Otherwise, a zero will be given. I will not give partial credit, it is an all or nothing project, of which the students are perfectly aware. The only excuse for the project not being finished is not taking advantage of the time given this week (some chose to believe that since the assignment was not due until Friday, then they had free days and simply waited until the last minute). Those who took advantage of the opportunity for a grade enhancer, and worked very hard this week, should be awarded for their efforts, not those who wasted time.

Each night (Monday - Friday) the student should document the day of the week and date at the top of a piece of paper. They should also have a space for time started, time finished (must be at least an hour), reading material, page number started, page number ended. When reading has been completed for each night, the student should define all words and write a brief summary regarding the part of the book read that particular night.
